Abstract: |
In October 2014 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook an evaluation of Land adjacent to 19 Baker St Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire prior to the proposed construction of two semi-detached and one detached dwellings. Two trenches were excavated within the development area, which is currently wasteland, and no archaeological cut features or deposits were found within either trench. The presence of a subsoil layer within the stratigraphy of the site suggests it has not been significantly developed or deep ploughed. The only artefacts recovered from the excavation consisted of 19th or early 20th century ceramic and the disarticulated remains of a pig, sheep or goat, and dog, all within the topsoil or interface with the subsoil. |
