Abstract: |
MOLA was commissioned by Leicestershire County Council to carry out archaeological investigation and observation on land adjacent to the Fosseway, north of Syston, Leicestershire. Originally two test pits were to be excavated, though it was found that one was unfeasible to excavate at this time. One test pit, 2.0m by 1.0m, was excavated 1.35m. The stratigraphy was found to be made up of a succession of deposited layers to build the modern road. No features of archaeological interest were uncovered. |
