Abstract: |
Statement of Significance: The Colthouse Meeting House has exceptional heritage significance as a fine example of a purpose-built meeting house erected in about 1689, retaining many historic fittings. The well-maintained building has a beautiful Lake District setting and stands close to a very early Quaker burial ground, laid out in the 1650s. |
