Abstract:		 The Lion Salt Works project involves restoration and construction work of the scheduled monument (SM 34985). The work involves the restoring the remaining buildings and converting them to a museum, visitor and conference centre. As part of this an archaeological project was set-up to record and research the above-ground historic buildings, below-ground archaeological remains, finds and archive of historic documents.
