Abstract:		 Archaeology Wales were commissioned to undertake a Desk-Based Assessment and site walkover to assess the impact of a proposed mixed use development scheme at land adjacent to Church Stretton School, Shropshire. The assessment reviewed information held by the regional Historic Environment Record (HER) and the National Monuments Record (NMR) as well as cartographic, photographic and other documentary sources. A site visit was made in February 2015. No designated historic landscape areas, Listed Buildings or Scheduled Ancient Monuments lie within the proposed development area. A single Scheduled Ancient Monument, three Grade II Listed Buildings and part of a Registered Park and Garden lie within the study area. The proposed development is not considered to have an impact on the Scheduled Ancient Monument, Listed Buildings, or Registered Park and Garden.
