Abstract: |
A Middle Bronze Age ornament hoard, consisting of 41 bronze objects was discovered by members of the West London Archaeological Searchers on the Deptford Downs near Wylye, Wiltshire. This was reported to the appropriate authorities. An excavation was undertaken by members of the Wiltshire Archaeology Field Group to locate more of the hoard, its associated archaeological features and any other artefacts in the immediate vicinity. Three test pits were opened revealing two shallow archaeological features which were interpreted as the pits that contained the hoard. These archaeological were subsequently excavated revealing no further in-situ bronzr artefacts. |
