The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The archaeological investigation described in this report was undertaken by volunteers and members of Ledbury's England's Past for Everyone Group who were trained and supervised by Herefordshire Archaeology. The investigations were conducted throughout October 2008. The test trenches were located within the gardens of seven locations scattered throughout Ledbury, in total thirteen test pits were excavated to varying depths depending on the volunteers' availability. The aim was to determine how the built-up area has expanded and contracted through the centuries by the examination of the pottery discarded in the gardens.
