Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was carried out during groundworks for a gas pipeline. Four sites were identified, one of which was a group of five pits containing prehistoric pottery, possibly relating to cropmarks located in the site's vicinity. Another site, a double-layered cobble surface is believed to relate to Medieval/Post-Medieval agricultural practices. A third site, consisting of two rubble spreads and three pits, contained no datable material. The remaining site has been preserved in-situ until a further programme of archaeological works can be implemented. Other features recorded included rig and furrow and an isolated pit.
