Introduction

Boldrewood Campus, University of Southampton. Location plan.

Evaluation was carried out by John Moore Heritage Services on land south of the School of Biological Science, Boldrewood Campus, Southampton University. The evaluation revealed extensive evidence of remodelling and landscaping of the immediate terrain, associated with the construction of the School for Biomedical Sciences and the laying out of associated grounds. No archaeology earlier than the late 1960's was recovered during the evaluation, although pottery dating from the post-industrial period was recovered from the topsoil.

The physical archive has been deposited at Southampton City Museum with the accession/site code SOU1455.
