Introduction

Wilstone Farm Shop, Tring Rural, Dacorum. Archaeological Evaluation (OASIS ID: kdkarcha1-234605)

Archaeological evaluation at Wilstone Farm Shop Lower Icknield Way, Wilstone Green, Hertfordshire, in advance of the restructuring and expansion of the farm shop site. The evaluation revealed a series of features which relates to the earlier farm buildings including brick wall foundations and possible interior surfaces of a barn. Dateable material uncovered from this evaluation would suggest post medieval dates for the majority of the site with some later modern additions such as a service drain in trench 2 and modern footings in trench 1. No finds, features or deposits pre-dating the post-medieval period was found.
