Digital Object Identifiers

Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) are persistent identifiers which can be used to consistently and accurately reference digital objects and/or content. The DOIs provide a way for the ADS resources to be cited in a similar fashion to traditional scholarly materials. More information on DOIs at the ADS can be found on our help page.

Database Files

The project produced two archaeological databases: Artefacts and Findspots. All database tables are available to download as comma separated value files (.csv). To save a file, right click the link below and then use file --> save as from your browser menu to save the file to your computer. The .csv can then be opened in most spreadsheet programs. The Findspots database combines data derived from the Southern Rivers Palaeolithic Project (Wessex Archaeology 1993*) with new findspots identified through this project. The Artefact database combines new data (typology, metrics, and condition) compiled as part of this project, with artefact provenance data held by the relevant museums.
