Description: Gravel spread
Notes:Silty accumulation deposit overlying gravel and clay spreads. It represents the first layer of gravel spreads between the NW wall of the square house and Victorian trench [1257]. This deposit was initially seen in sections 373 and 380, however, in removing deposits in plan (3385) was seen to be less substantial / thinner than previously believed, therefore the context card from 2001 has been superseded. Strat below (3313). Cut by [1257], [1171], [1634]. Completely removed in 2004.Plan no: 3.81, 3.82, 10.106Accuracy rating - 3   {}
Composition: Loose, grey / brown sandy siltInclusions: 35-70% gravel (S-A) (S-R) ranging in size from 2mm to 6cm;  <5% charcoal;  <10% CBM and potteryExtent: 9.5m x 2.5m (max);    Thickness: 0.02-0.03m {}
