General Colour Description:

A dark grey colour with occasional large cream coloured fossil shells (possibly ammonite fragments). The stone becomes a shiny black colour when polished.

Hand Specimen Description:

A fine grained, relatively hard, compact shale. It is well sorted with occasional large bioclastic material.
