General Colour Description:

A mottled grey/brown to buff colour. Fossils are visible in polished examples.

Hand Specimen Description:

A coarse, very hard, bioclastic limestone comprising broken crinoid framents. It is poorly sorted with a hackly fracture.

General Comments:

Monyash Marble is not a true marble in its geological sense, but a limestone which can take a good polish.
