About 100,000 objects were recovered during the 1983-2001 campaign, of which about 300 were early medieval and the remainder prehistoric, medieval or modern. The prehistoric assemblage consists mainly of pottery and flint of Neolithic, Beaker, Bronze Age or Iron Age date. The Medieval assemblage consists mainly of 12th century cooking pot. The modern assemblage consists mainly of bullets and other objects of military origin deposited during WW2.
All objects were catalogued in a data-base on site (Dbase III) which has since been reformatted by ADS to ensure continued accessibility. The data-base tabulates finds by Intervention in ASCII pipe '|' delimited text files. These files can be easily imported as tables into common database and spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Access and Excel or Paradox (see Download Support for instructions).
