Overview

Taunton Castle, Somerset: Excavations and building studies, 2004-2013

Most of the primary record was made using paper-based recording with the exception of digital photography. Post-excavation work was undertaken digitally. The artefacts and paper archive are deposited with the Somerset Museum service and the paperwork has been scanned and included in the digital archive for completeness.

The archive comprises:

  • Scanned site records: proforma recording sheets and drawings
  • Site photographs: digital and wet-chemistry
  • Building plans and elevations
  • Specialist finds reports
