Introduction

Former Odeon Cinema, Hackney (OASIS ID: waterman2-286406)

A scheme of archaeological building recording was undertaken by Waterman Infrastructure & Environment Ltd at the site of the former Mecca Bingo Hall and Odeon Cinema located at 211 Hackney Road in the London Borough of Hackney.

The site is centred on Ordnance Survey Grid Reference TQ 33905 83135 and comprises a building and carpark which was constructed as an Odeon Cinema in the 1930s.
