Cape St Blaize, Mossel Bay, Non-UK (South Africa), 21/7/1966
Visit Cape St Blaize cave at Mossel Bay in the morning. There is a thick deposit partially exposed of broken shell and quartzite flakes.
To the Robberg in the afternoon, near Plettenberg Bay to see the caves being investigated by Inskeep and Hoffman., (sketch plan of site locations)

Matjies River, Non-UK (South Africa), 22/7/1966
Visit the large rock shelter at Matjies River, where there is an enourmous accumulation of unconsolidated shelly midden. Excavated by Hoffman and there is a very unsatisfactory report on the stratigraphy by Louw.
