Wooden board attached to cast iron post, Shipston iron casting design, erected by Stratford to Long Compton turnpike trust, 19th century. Inscription reads: // LONG COMPTON / {hand to left} 3 MILES //LONDON / 79 //SHIPSTON / 3 MILES {hand to right} //. Grade II listed by Historic England. Milestone Society National ID: WA_SFOX13.
