GREASLEY CASTLE

Description:  Medieval fortified manor house, granted licence to crenellate about 1340, and believed to have been destroyed by 1700. The standing remains of the castle were rebuilt in the late 19th century and are now incorporated in a range of farm buildings. The remains of a moat, enclosure, fishponds and an open field system still survive as earthworks.
