LITTLE PRESTON

Description:  Medieval village of Little Preston was first mentioned in Domesday as two manors, later records suggest growth up to 18-19th Century. The surviving earthworks suggest a single street with abandoned closes behind some of the existing houses. The street becomes a hollow way, presumably leading to the manor house site to the north east.
