Description: Country House built during the 1550s by for Henry Chauncy. The house and gardens were improved in 1636-1639 and the house enlarged in 1760 to 1822. The 19th century porch from this phase is the only part of the house left standing following demolition in 1851. The porch became a garden feature of the replacement house Gilston Park (see TL 41 SW 38) which was built in 1852. The porch is listed.
