Description: Arthington Hall is mostly an early-mid 18th century rebuilding of an earlier house and was rebuilt in the late 19th century by Alfred Waterhouse. The country house is built of coursed dressed sandstone with slate roofs. The building has an irregular plan of which the principal element is a rectangular front range. The walled gardens and ha-ha are of 18th century date. A post Medieval trackway, situated at SE 2747 4512, is visible as an earthwork on air photographs.
