Description: Three gardens associated with Eton College. The Provosts Garden is square in plan, bordered by walls with areas of lawn, planted with trees and shrubs. The north side is enclosed by railings with central gate piers, gates and a sundial. Steps lead to a sunken garden, rectangular in plan, which was laid out in 1929. This has a central lawn, a paved path and statue. The Fellows or College Garden comprises a rectangular lawn with paths and herbaceous borders, and incorporates a kitchen garden. Greenhouses are present in the northeast corner. Luxmoore's Garden is situated on an island in the River Thames. It was developed during the late 19th century by H E Luxmoore in a natural style, with paths and informal planting of trees and shrubs. Other features include a rose garden, pool and sundial.
