NEWARK CASTLE GARDENS


Description:  Public Gardens at Newark Castle, set out by Henry Ernest Milner and opened in May 1889 as a Jubilee Memorial. Features include a system of paths, walks and terraced walks set out within lawns and shrub beds. A number of specimen trees stand on raised mounds, some seeming to date from the mid 19th century.
