Description: Shrewsbury Hospital Almshouses, chapel, chaplin's house and infirmary, ad boundary wall and gates. The almshouses, and associated buildings, were built in 1825 and were designed by Woodhead and Hurst. The buildings were restored in 1989. Built of ashlar with slate roofs and corbelled, billeted paired stone ridge stacks. The group is U-shaped in plan with the chapel in the centre and the chaplin's house and infirmary at the ends of the wings. The chapel consists of a chance, a nave with clerestory and aisles, and a fill width west porch.
