SHORNCOTE QUARRY (NORTH)


Description:  Site code: W5645/W9897. Excavation followed evaluation (Event 1044813) and demonstrated that the Late Bronze Age settlement site is more extensive than suspected, covering the whole of a 9ha extension area with some foci of activity apparent. Site also referred to as Shorncote Quarry (East). NMR Microfilm Index PRN: 7501 and 7531.
