Description: Site code: BSE114. Excavation of the footing trenches ahead of building work revealed a large post-medieval disturbance at the west end, the probable cause of the subsidence here, a small flint and mortar wall in the central partition footing of probable late medieval date, and a small square structure under the NW corner of the standing building which documentary research showed to be the remains of a privy attached to one of the buildings demolished on construction of the church hall extension in 1887. Post-excavation monitoring also carried out. RCHME Microfilm Index PRN: 5982.
