CASTLE MURRAY. C17TH HOUSE & BAWN: CASTLE MURRAY (unlocated)


Description:  The castle was built by Lord Folliott in 1613.It was described in 1619 as "a stong Bawne of Lime & Stone, 150ft long, 120ft wide & 12ft high with three Flankers; within the Bawne there is a strong House of Lime & Stone, three Stories high". The house was destroyed in the 1820s & cannot now be located.
