Archaeological evaluation, Redhill


Description:  Geophysical survey followed by trial trenching undertaken by BUFAU. Geophysical:- Geoscan FM18 Fluxgate Gradiometer readings logged at 0.5m intervals along NW- SE axis with traverses at 1.0m intervals. Not much result - some anomalies which might indicate pits. Trial Trenches:- All trenches displayed either undisturbed natural bedrock or clean subsoil. One irregular hollow with some charcoal - no finds possible - tree disturbance. 1 sherd post med pot plus 4 unidentified brick/tile (Trenches 12 and 13) <1>/ CMHTS Record Sheet <2>/ CMHTS Report <3>
