Recreation grounds and playing fields, probably associated with the nearby schools. Previously the site was occupied by Manor Laiths. It consisted of a square plot to the south of the polygon and buildings to the north. A laithe is a combined barn and house. The farm complex is depicted on the Fairbanks plan of 1795 and was probably built at the time of disparkment. Manor Laiths gave its name to the surrounding allotments. A road of the same name approaches the site where the buildings stood. They are last depicted on the 1968 6 inch OS map. Before Manor Laith the site was part of Sheffield Park. Legibility of the previous landscape is invisible.
