Demolished 2004. This complex, subject to detailed description and building recording prior to demolition in 2004 (WYAS 2005), consisted of an L shaped range of timber framed 'post and truss' barns (which were dated by tree rings to a felling date of 1663 implying a construction date of 1664) and an 18th - 19th century farm house. The date of construction corresponds to the approximate disparkment of Sheffield Great Park, the southern boundary of which is preserved 100m to the south to along the northern edge of Derby Street allotments. This site will be subject to an archaeological scheme of work in advance of the construction of new housing in late 2005. Legibility of this area will be erased as no boundaries will be retained in new development.
