A pub standing adjacent to the Manor Lodge site. Although now the only building within the polygon, it was previously surrounded by housing that appears to have been associated with the Manor Castle Colliery. The buildings have been cleared by the time the 1987 6 inch OS map is published. Prior to the colliery, the site consisted of fields enclosed in a piecemeal fashion from Sheffield Park. The present day Manor Lane, along the edge of the polygon, follows the route of a road marked on the Fairbanks plan of 1795 and is probably the original route up to the Manor. Legibility is fragmentary due to this.
