Business park of large modern blocks built on land that was formerly enclosed from the medieval town field. It was probably enclosed as part of the 1767 parliamentary award (date from English 1985). There is no legibility of these enclosures as the surrounding land has been heavily altered by later railways and roads. There are several 'park' place names in the area, which may indicate there was a medieval deer park or ornamental park associated with Wombwell manor house. There is, however, no documentary evidence of a park.
