An area of small enclosures containing the Strines Inn. The Inn has elements dating to the 17th century. The first mention of Strines is in documents dating to 1591 and it is probable that the land was enclosed at this time. Legibility is invisible. The date of origin of the moorland is uncertain but it had probably developed in this area by the Roman period (see Bevan 2003 for discussion of environmental evidence in the area).
