Late 16th/ 17th century farmhouse previously associated with 17th and 18th century barns and a dovecote (Hey 1981, 19) that have since been demolished. The farm was built on the site of Thurnscoe Grange. This was the property of Roche Abbey until the dissolution of the monasteries in the 1530s (Hunter 1831, 154). There is no legibility of the grange although some archaeological remains survive below ground (NAA 2003).
