This estate was completed in 1932 and has remained substantially the same. It has been referred to as 'the best place to gain an impression of how Sheffield's interwar estates looked in their prime' (Harman & Minnis, 2004, 293). Prior to the building of the estate, the area was dominated by fields probably created through piecemeal enclosure. Scattered farmsteads existed amongst the fields. Legibility is invisible.
