Dinnington Primary School built 2003-4 Site of early twentieth century terraced housing to the north of historic Dinnington. Likely to be related to the sinking of Dinnington Main Colliery in 1903-5 (Taylor 2001, 121). This terrace backed onto its road with the formal front of the houses oriented south facing onto long garden plots. Demolished between 1999 and 2002 Geoinformation Group aerial photographs. Little legibility of the earlier enclosure morphology although Doe Quarry Lane and Nordern Hill represent pre urban enclosure roads laid out as part of the Dinnington enclosure award of 1778 across the former open Lorden Field.
