Graveyard to the former St. Peters church. This area was landscaped by Doncaster MBC in 1978 following continuing vandalism. Excavation ahead of this revealed evidence for three churches- the earliest a two cell building probably dating to the 12th century, the latest of mid-19th century origin. Ongoing vandalism precluded the investigation of anything below the earliest recorded foundations, leaving the possibility that an earlier structure remains. The foundations are deep enough to have not been disturbed by the landscaping. Legibility of the former character is partial due to the presence of old gravestones.
