This area of large straight bounded fields north of Mosborough has developed a typically modern character following late 20th century boundary loss. Largely enclosed as the product of parliamentary subdivision of earlier post-medieval 'mesne enclosures' (see Stroud 1996:Fig2) c1799 this area also featured until at least the early 90s a number of very thin and long fossilised strips. Fragmentary legibility of enclosure history.
