Built on the site of Maltby Hall and preserving the boundaries and 'Larch Plantation' from the former associated small park. School buildings first depicted on the site 1929 with the hall itself replaced by school buildings by 1938. Maltby Hall appears on Sanderson's 1835 mapping and appears to have replaced an earlier 'Maltby Old Hall' (? 18th century) shown on historic OS maps and recorded on the SMR as 'PRN 2154' to the east side of Braithwell Road. Partial legibility of former parkland.
