Caravan park on part of Wombwell Ings. The placename 'Ings' can refer to meadow or pasture (Field 1972, 113). The land along the river Dearne is liable to flooding and has been drained in modern periods; it would have been good land for meadow, which was valuable in the medieval period (Rackham 1986, 334-339). Date of enclosure is uncertain. There is fragmentary legibility of the enclosed fields.
