Treeton Church occupies a prominent position at the top of a hill. It is a Grade I listed building. Pevsner (1967, 523) calls the church 'a confusing building. Essentially of c.1175- c. 1200' referring to the many 12th, 13th and 14th century elements. It was restored in the mid 19th century. Legibility of the former landscape, prior to construction of the church is uncertain. Although Treeton is mentioned as having a church in Domesday Book, it's location is unknown though this location would be a prime contender.
