This polygon details the Foxhill estate. It consists mostly of maisonettes and short blocks of modern terraces. High rise flats were demolished in the early 21st century. The housing was first depicted on the 1970 OS map and appears to have been built in the preceding decade. Prior to its development, the area was rural was containing scattered farms set amongst fields enclosed in a piecemeal pattern. Several farm buildings remain and are listed. Amongst them are, respectively, the late 18th and early 18th century buildings of Birley Hall farmhouse and Birley Old Hall. Cruck Cottage is a timber framed building and may be somewhat earlier. Legibility is significant due to the surviving farm buildings.
