Hunster Wood was cleared in the late 20th century and converted to agricultural land. It was last depicted on the 1982 OS map. It was established by 1681 when a man was fined for damaging the area by driving pigs through it and collecting acorns. This suggests that the wood was being used as a wood pasture. Legibility of the former woodland is fragmentary as the boundary is preserved in the shape of the fields.
