A mixed housing development containing both semi and detached houses. The area was rural in character until the 20th century being comprised mainly of irregularly shaped fields, indicative of piecemeal enclosure. From the early part of the 20th century onwards the area was quarried and mined for ganister. The quarry was used for a time as a landfill site, before the housing was built. Legibility is invisible. The origin of the moorland landscape is uncertain though this area is likely to be moorland by the Roman period (see Bevan 2003 for discussion of environmental evidence).
