Modern detached housing estate. This piece of the estate is the site of the Black Horse Engine a steam engine which was built around 1830 to raise wagons of coal up the Inclined Plane which ran from House Carr and Moor End collieries (HSY6305). This had fallen out of use by 1893 when Black Horse Farm is marked on the maps. There is no legibility of any of the previous landscape types in the modern housing which has completely overwritten the landscape.
