Housing development which replaced earlier terraced streets probably demolished as part of a slum clearance programme in the 1970s. The area is named as Little Moor on the early OS maps suggesting an area of common land, between the open fields prior to enclosure. It was probably enclosed by the Hexthorpe with Balby and Long Sandall award in 1785. The 'site of post house' is indicated on the 1st edition OS map of 1854. Legibility of the former landscape is invisible.
