Now the site of a scrap yard, this was the site of the Holmes Pottery which operated from c.1850 until 1931. Prior to industrial development the site was agricultural. The pre-enclosure map of Kimberworth shows an enclosure called Laith Close which is probably derived from the open fields. A building in the south west corner of the enclosure could be a barn. Legibility is fragmentary as the north west boundary fossilises the line of the field.
