School buildings built between 1935 and 1938. The school was built to service the new the estates that were being built in the area. Prior to this expansion the area was largely rural on the outskirts of Sheffield. The Fairbanks plan of 1795 shows the area as fields with the characteristics of piecemeal enclosure. Prior to fields, the area was on the eastern and southern edge of Sheffield Park, which was a medieval deer park. Although some of the fields in this area shared a common axis this was due to their enclosure from parkland by a single large landowner. Legibility is invisible.
