Built since 1999 this private speculative low density development of detached properties was built on the site of Ashleigh School (formerly known as the Hurlfield Secondary School for Girls). This school is depicted on OS maps from the mid 1950s until 1985. The present plot includes a band of trees surviving from the garden of Myrtle House which occupied part of this plot from at least 1851 until the mid twentieth century. Much of this plot formed part of the piecemeal enclosure of Gleadless Common described in HSY 1442. Fragmentary legibility only.
