Council depot built by 1989 maps. From 1893 this area contained two rows of terraced houses. 1893 maps show a small clay pit, kiln and brick yard at the south end of the plot that is later filled with more houses. This is likely to be were the bricks for this small development came from rather than a larger concern. This land would probably have been part of the Wombwell townfield that was enclosed in a fairly regular pattern. There is no legibility of the enclosed landscape but there is fragmentary legibility of the housing plot in the currently utilised land. There are several 'park' place names in the area, which may indicate there was a medieval deer park or ornamental park associated with Wombwell manor house. There is, however, no documentary evidence of a park.
