DiveSumID,MonumentUID,DiveID,SummTypeID,Summary 1,4100,1,2,"ROV dive to wreck 2. Very poor visibility. Depth 64m. Initially found Debris field to the north-east of wreck. Debris included anchor chains and trawl nets. Debris found 14m due east of the northern end of the wreck. ROV travelled along side of upstanding wreck. Ships body had dense marine growth. Only north eastern part of vessel observed. Vessel'st structural frame observed. ROV viewed from alongside wreck very close to sea bed. Dive aborted due to bad visability. Cameras not suitable for visability. Precision scaling cameras to be exchanged for low light camera. ROV brought back on deck to perform camera mainenance. Umbilical not readily visible during in dive and risk of snagging.Tracking worked. GPS not DGPS operation system in use for this dive. All other systems working." 2,4100,2,1,"ROV arrived at botton at south-western part of wreck.Iron/steel rivetted vessel, post 1850. Vessel lies on its side with the hull to the east and the deck facing north-west. Fairleads visible. Large 9.23m gap in deck structure north of midships. Observed hull plating with three rows of rivets. These were the only parts of vessel devoid of marine growth.Split vertical tube (at a slight angle) midships, just south of gap.No diagnostic features to date vesel." 3,4100,2,2,"Successful dive. Ebbing tide better visibility than flood tide. Tide turned at 17:53.Difficult to track north eastern section of wreck as beacon out of site of transponder. Fishing gear to the NE also makes ROV diving difficult for fear of snagging." 4,4100,3,2,"Began dive at bow and headed sternward. Tracking successful with the exception of the midships section when the tide started to run (06:02) and features identified in the wrong location - tube." 5,4100,3,1,"Bow identified to the southern end. Anchor covered with marine growth observed at bow. Anchor sits in hawsehole. The shank of the anchor appears to extend into vessel. Headed along starboard side sternward. Anchor winches sitting at slight angle on deckn on bow section. Possible hatch identified with defined edges with beams coming down.ROV headed sternward. Stern seems to be heavily damaged. There is the most substantial amount of debris in this immediate stern area and this is the most complicated area to make sense of." 6,4100,4,2,"Started dive at stern of wreck on southern side. Proceeded along towards the bow at a distance of 4m to the wreck to check for debris.Ran a second line back from the bow to the stern at the interface between wreck and seabed. Then proceeded onto wreck and ran a line at interface portside, deck back towards the bow." 7,4100,4,1,"Hardly any outlying debris to the South of the wreck. Observed a piece of coal.On deck level observed a bollard next to the fairlead and split tube in the midship area. At least one or two cargo hatches could be distinguished running along the deck." 8,4100,5,2,"Vessel moved prior to dive to new position to the north-west of the wreck site to facilitate the ROV dive on the upper deck of the wreck site- to avoid snagging in a tide running east to west. ISS - Image Scaling System and digital stills taken of key identified features on wreck site. All identified features photographed." 9,4100,5,1,"Dive recorded all key archaeological features identified by way of digital stills and ISS images (Image Scaling System). These features include bow fastening, fairleads, anchor, anchor winch, tube, capston, cog and bollards. All these features with the exception of the capston had been previously been noted on other dives. The capston was at the end of the winch.Photographs were taken of parts of the cog and other other metal objects which were devoid of concretion."
