September 2017: Discovering England's Burial Spaces

Discovering England's Burial Spaces (DEBS), is a community led burial space research project, bringing together the ADS, Historic England and the Digital Creativity Labs, to develop and pilot a national database for burial spaces. The DEBS project will provide skills to new groups to improve access to the history and archaeology of their local area, whilst also building a national picture of our communal past. July 2017: Open Access Archaeology Fund ready to make its first award!

ADS and Internet Archaeology are happy to announce that our Open Access Archaeology Fund has now accrued enough funds to allow us to make our first award to an unfunded proposed archive or article. (Full details of eligibility can be found here).

May 2017: Digital Data & Archaeology Workshop

ADS, Historic England and the University of Leicester Heritage Practice Training Programme are please to announce the next digital Data and Archaeology course will be held this September. The course is aimed primarily at archaeology data creators and data curators operating in national agency and local authority heritage environments. However this course will also be of benefit to professionals working in commercial, independent and research environments and to community groups utilising and creating archaeological data.
