Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A master chronology for Scottish timber from St John's House, South Street, has been dated from AD 1072 to 1248. Sapwood on two timbers indicated that they were felled between 1249 and 1280, much earlier than the known date of St John's House, indicating their re-use from earlier structures. A timber from the Old Students' Union, North Street, was of west Baltic origin and felled in 1521. | ||||||||
