Abstract:
A reconsideration of finewares and kilns, excavated at Cherry Hinton, Cambs, in 1902. Two shapes of kiln were found, one of which is similar to those in the Nene Valley dated as Claudian-Neronian. Kiln furniture was also found, together with a limited range of finewares, some of which were decorated. It is suggested that production at the site dates to the second half of the 1st century AD and was associated with the provision of status goods for the local population. MH
