Abstract: |
The boundaries of Lanarkshire (which now forms part of Strathclyde) are those of 1938-75, and the County of the City of Glasgow is excluded. A narrative section on developments from prehistoric to Roman times is followed by the inventory, covering the following categories: cairns and barrows, burials and cists, enclosed cremation cemetery, ritual enclosures, standing stones, unenclosed platform settlements, homesteads and settlements, forts, crannogs, broch, souterrain, field systems, Roman monuments and miscellaneous earthworks and enclosures. |
