Abstract: |
The RCAHMS annual report announces the publication of the sixth volume of the Argyll Inventory; lists monuments most worthy of preservation in other areas than Mid Argyll and Cowal (including some industrial and some on St Kilda); reports that insufficient resources are available to carry out tasks for Ordnance Survey; calls for comprehensive examination of the organization of ancient monuments and historic buildings care in Scotland; and expresses increased concern about effects of forestry on archaeology. |
