Abstract: |
A archaeological assessment was carried out on the proposed redevelopment of Watford Junction. The assessment identified low potential for archaeology, for the early medieval, Palaeolithic, Iron Age and Mesolithic periods. Moderate potential for Roman and medieval archaeology. The assessment identified that the development could have impacted upon early structures associated with the railway and structures associated with the First World War munitions factory. The development could have also impacted upon a conservation area. [Au(abr)] |
