Abstract: |
Three trial trenches were excavated following an application for planning permission for the construction of a new house. No archaeological features or deposits were present. Alluvial deposits were recorded in one evaluation trench. The area of development appeared to have been built up by Victorian dump deposits, possibly to prevent flooding from the Colne Brook.
