Abstract: |
Seven trial trenches were excavated as an archaeological evaluation prior to the proposed residential redevelopment of the site. Any potential archaeological horizon of four of these had been truncated during the recent demolition work. Of the remaining three, a number of post-medieval features were encountered as well as tree throw features. Only trench 4 revealed a single undated feature that proved to pre-date the post-medieval features recorded. [Au] |
