Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site which lay close to sites of possible prehistoric date, and was situated outside the boundary of a medieval village. A narrow, shallow gully containing no artefacts was revealed. This could not be dated, and may even have represented natural variation within the gravel rather than a feature of archaeological significance. It was concluded that there was little chance of archaeological remains being disturbed during construction work, and that no further archaeological investigation would be necessary. [Au(adp)] |
