Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was carried out between 24th-26th May 2001. Piling was being carried out for the construction of a crane base prior to further redevelopment of the north-eastern corner of the site. A straightforward sequence of post-medieval made ground or massive pitting was seen to overlie natural sands and gravels in all the pile positions monitored. [Au(abr)]
