Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during initial groundworks at the site of a crop store, which lay adjacent to the projected line of a Roman road. Romano-British pottery had been found to the north, in close proximity to fragmentary traces of a field system. During the watching brief, no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. However, earthworks to the north-east, on the line of a 'green lane', may have formed the agger of the Roman road. [Au(adp)] |
