Abstract: |
A geophysical survey was carried out and consisted of a magnetometer survey and an topographical survey. The area under investigation consisted of arable farmland currently set aside, in the vicinity of the Roman road running northwards from Long Melford. The survey demonstrated the main foci of the settlement in some detail and confirmed the assessment of the site's significance and status made at the time of excavation by demonstrating its size and complexity.
