Abstract: |
In the four evaluation trenches, no trace of Hadrian's Wall was identified. None of the trenches penetrated beneath post-medieval levels. Well preserved structual elements belonging to the Lead Works and an earlier Flax Mill were identified in Trenches 1 and 2 providing an indication of the character and complexity of the remains of industrial significance at the site.
