Abstract: |
Evaluation established that an 18th century cellar survirvived at the front of 12 Victoria Street and another to the rear of number 22. Also at number 12, archaeological deposits dating from at least the 12th century were found to survive, although much of this area had been truncated by a 17th century cellar. To the rear of number 10, reasonably deep archaeological deposits, producing large amounts of pottery and animal bone dating from the early 12th century through to the early 14th century, were revealed.
