Abstract: |
A clay with silt horizon was revealed which probably represented a garden soil accumulation. Although no datable finds were recovered from the works, it was likely that it dated from the medieval or early post-medieval period when burgage plots were first laid out. A building was marked on the 1st Edition OS plan (1884) over this area of the site, which was presumably the same structure. [Au(adp)] |
