Abstract: |
The archaeological field evaluation was undertaken on the floodplains of the proposed site of a fishing lake. No significant archaeological finds or deposits were encountered within the trenches but an undated sequence of alluvium derived from the river in flood was recorded. However the alluviation is comparable to other recorded sequences in the lower Severn-Avon valleys suggested as the result of ploughing during the later Bronze Age. [Au(abr)] |
