Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising two trenches was undertaken in advance of a proposed development for 12 flats. The evaluation characterised the archaeological potential of the site and indicated that in situ Roman deposits, including a wall and opus signinum floor sealed beneath late Roman demolition rubble, survived at a depth of 0.6m below the modern ground surface.
