Abstract:
A topographic survey was undertaken on earthworks in an area of managed woodland known as The Queech. The initial survey proved the presence of significant earthworks. It seemed likely that these represented a ditched house platform and surrounding paddocks, formal gardens and out-buildings. No dating or structural evidence was recorded during the survey, but documentary work suggested that the site could be related to the Rookwood family. [Au(adp)]
